36 – 46 Albert Embankment

A high-quality, sustainable student community

Hero image

Learn about the plans to bring purpose-built student accommodation, office and incubator/cultural space to Albert Embankment.

In 2023, Lambeth Council approved a planning application to redevelop the site. This included 872 hotel rooms in two-connected buildings, a dedicated drop-off point for taxis and two reception areas.

This scheme was never delivered and Urbanest, one of London’s leading contemporary student accommodation providers, has partnered with Hotchkiss, the owners of the site, to bring it to life with a new, sustainably designed mixed-use student accommodation scheme.

Urbanest have now submitted proposals for 36-46 Albert Embankment to Lambeth Council.

Full details of the planning application can be found on the Council’s planning portal using the reference number 24/04003/FUL.

We are grateful for all feedback that was shared during our consultation on the proposals and look forward to continuing to work with the local community.
