A high-quality, sustainable student community

Join us at our public events this month to learn about the plans to bring purpose-built student accommodation, office and incubator space to Albert Embankment.

Last year, Lambeth Council approved a planning application to redevelop the site. This included 872 hotel rooms in two-connected buildings, a dedicated drop-off point for taxis and two reception areas.

This scheme was never delivered and Urbanest, one of London’s leading contemporary student accommodation providers, has partnered with Hotchkiss, the owners of the site, to bring it to life with a new, sustainably designed mixed-use student accommodation scheme.

Although our plans are still developing, we are looking to deliver:

Bed icon

923 high quality student beds, 35% of which would be affordable

Building icon

Two-connected buildings with identical heights (29 and 26 storeys) and very minor changes to the massing of the approved scheme.

Sustainability icon

An improved and more sustainable design, that will meet Passivhaus certification

Vintage House icon

The refurbishment and extension of Vintage House, with office space for local and national organisations

Graduate icon

Incubator space for graduates, creatives and SMEs looking to grow in Lambeth
